Golden Tide

Inspired by a Prohibition-era classic, Golden Tide brightens gin with fresh tangerine, a whisper of Pernod and Tangerine & Spice Bitters for a warm island glow.

Ingredients

2 oz  Dry Gin

2 oz Tangerine Juice (Fresh squeezed makes it unimaginably GOOD)

1 barspoon of real Pomegranate juice (if using grenadine, omit the simple)

¼ oz Simple Syrup

1 barspoon of absinthe (Pernod is great, here)

Method

Shake vigorously with ice in shaker and strain into a small cocktail glass. A Dried Tangerine Slice or other citrus make a great garnish.

Siren Tip: Use Pernod sparingly. A small rinse of the glass or a barspoon is often just enough to perfume the drink without overwhelming the citrus.
